What inspired you to join Hampton by Hilton Torquay?
Torquay has always held a special charm for me, the coastal beauty, the vibrant community, and the opportunity to be part of a brand that values quality and consistency. Hampton by Hilton’s reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences made it an easy choice, and it’s a long-life dream to work with a global leader in the hospitality industry.
Can you tell us a bit about your career journey so far?
I’ve worked across various roles in hospitality, from front-of-house to operations management. Each step has taught me something new about leadership, service, and the importance of team culture. Joining Hilton has been a milestone, it’s a brand that aligns with my values and aspirations.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m very creative and love art, which is a passion of mine, and am a decent artist! Art has always been a creative outlet for me and helps me stay grounded.
What are your top priorities for the hotel in the coming months?
Guest satisfaction and team development are at the top of my list. We’re focusing on refining our service standards, enhancing guest experiences, and ensuring our team feels supported and empowered.
Are there any exciting changes or initiatives you’re planning?
Yes! We’re working on some exciting local partnerships to bring more of Torquay’s charm into the hotel experience. Such as locally sourced amenities, community events, and unique guest focused events that showcase the best of the area.

By fostering a culture of trust, recognition, and continuous learning. I believe in leading by example and creating opportunities for growth and development.
What kind of atmosphere do you want guests to feel when they walk through the doors?
Welcoming, relaxed, and cared for. Whether they’re here for business or leisure, I want every guest to feel like they’ve arrived at their home away from home. Making friends for life is the ultimate objective.

The stunning coastline, the friendly locals, and the sense of calm that comes with being by the sea. It’s a place that invites you to slow down and enjoy life. Its always summer in TORBAY!
Are there any local partnerships or community projects you’re keen to explore?
Absolutely. We’re always looking to connect with the local community whether that be on land or water, to bring in the beautiful spirit of the local community, such as sports enthusiasts, artists, producers, and charities to bring more of Torquay, and the hotel hopes to give back to the community.
Coffee or tea?
Flat White always! Especially if I make it myself.
Seaside walk or city break?
Seaside walk, every time, but I love doing both.
