Making a Big Impact for Macmillan Coffee Morning
Our managed hotels went above and beyond this September, from Shrek-themed celebrations to marathon miles, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
2nd October 2025
This September, our managed hotels came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising a total of £1,372 for people living with cancer. Each hotel hosted its own creative event, proving that teamwork and community spirit make a real impact.
Our teams pulled out all the stops this year! DoubleTree Stoke wowed guests with a full Shrek-themed celebration, complete with green treats and swamp-inspired décor. Meanwhile, Max, General Manager at DoubleTree Manchester Airport, took fundraising to the next level by running the Loch Ness Marathon raising £2,600 for Macmillan. Max’s inspired effort and resilience inspired us all, proving that going the extra mile - literally and figuratively - can create real impact.
Macmillan Cancer Support remains almost entirely reliant on donations, providing essential services for the 2.7 million people living with cancer in the UK, with someone being diagnosed every two minutes. Every cup of coffee served, every slice of cake shared and every donation made contributed to improving the lives of those affected by cancer.
From bake-offs and raffles to themed celebrations and marathon miles, our hotel teams went above and beyond, showing once again that even small actions can create big change when we all come together.
If you didn’t get the chance to support Macmillan during our Coffee Morning events, you can still donate here and help make a difference.
