Michels & Taylor Managed Hotels Support Macmillan Coffee Morning
Our portfolio of managed hotels rallied together to host their own Macmillan Coffee Morning
2nd November 2023
This September, our portfolio of managed hotels enthusiastically rallied together to each host their own individual events as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s Macmillan Coffee Morning. The result? £3310 raised for those living with cancer, all thanks to the collective efforts of our dedicated teams going above and beyond.
Macmillan Cancer Support is an organisation almost entirely reliant on donations, providing crucial assistance to those dealing with the harsh realities of cancer. With statistics revealing that every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer and with over 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, this support is more crucial than ever.
It was heart warming to see team members, guests and local communities come together to support this exceptional charity. With every sip of coffee, every delicious treat shared and every contribution made, a substantial positive impact was made in the lives of those affected by cancer.
From the Hampton by Hilton Torquay in the South West to the DoubleTree by Hilton York in the North and all of our hotels in between, our hotel teams displayed creativity in their efforts to bolster fundraising totals. This included hosting team bake offs, raffles, complimentary massages and of course, lots of coffee and cake.
Michels & Taylor matched all fundraising amounts up to the value of £100 for each hotel, donating an extra £1345 to elevate our hotels’ fundraising achievements even further.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who played a part, working together to make a profound difference in the battle against cancer.
Make sure to stay up to date via our LinkedIn and here on our website blog, where we look forward to sharing more inspiring stories of how we continue to fundraise for worthy causes in the future.
