M&T stepped in to support EY Parthenon with Mar Hall administration
Our specialist M&T Distress Management Team took control of the asset, ensured all issues were managed effectively and the business was stabilised.
October 2025
The M&T Management team stepped in at short notice to take over the operation of the Mar Hall Hotel near Glasgow on behalf of the administrators EY Parthenon prior to its sale.
As is so often the case with hotel administrations, there was a great deal to manage, from suppliers to team members to guests and finances. Our specialist M&T Distress Management Team took control of the asset, ensured all issues were managed effectively and the business was stabilised. The team then supported the lenders whilst the hotel went through a successful sale to the Dutco Group.
Andrew Dolliver, Partner, Strategy & Transactions, Ernst & Young said “The M&T team were excellent. They worked seamlessly with the EY administration team to ensure hotel operations continued with minimal disruption.”
This was the third administration managed by M&T in that year, the other two being assets in the North West and Southern England respectively.
