Knighted in 2006 for services to the hotel industry, Sir David set up Michels & Taylor after retiring as CEO of Hilton Group plc following its sale. His 50-year experience at the highest level of the hotel and gaming industries also includes CEO of Stakis, EVP Marketing of Hilton Worldwide, as well as Deputy Chairman of Marks & Spencer, Deputy Chairman of British Land, Chairman of easyJet and SID of both Jumeirah Hotels and Strategic Hotels & Resorts.
