M&T Property & Development support hotel owner in securing major land sale

M&T Property & Development are delighted to have helped the owners of The Abbey Hotel, Redditch secure a major land sale, a hotel M&T have been managing for over 5 years. This land deal considerably enhances the value of the investment for its owners and formed part of the original business and investment master plan developed by M&T prior to acquisition.

The sale to Barratt David Wilson Homes has come after planning was secured for 214 houses using a 9 acre section of the hotel’s 160 acre golf course.

M&T was integral in identifying the value opportunity from this alternative use strategy, advising on the planning with the stakeholders and most notably the planning conditions that will offer the local community and the owner of the hotel alike the benefits from the development.
